Skin Discoloration Ogden UT and Treatment Options

Skin Discoloration Ogden UT is a common occurrence in Utah due to sun exposure and results in the skin being darkened in some areas or develop patches of dark spots. The dark areas are usually brownish and are a collection of a pigment known as melanin.

Melanin is naturally produced by the skin as it absorbs UV rays and protects the body from the harmful effects of the sun.

The more melanin produced in our bodies leads to increased discoloration. Lighter skinned individuals are more prone to skin discoloration and have a higher risk to develop skin cancer.

The common forms of skin discoloration are melasma, freckles, and age spots.

Melasma occurs on sun-exposed areas of the face. It shows as a brown color on your cheeks, nose, forehead, and upper lip. Melasma is also known as pregnancy mask due to the link it has to the female hormone estrogen and progesterone.

Pregnant women and those taking birth control pills are prone to melasma that generally disappears after childbirth or when you stop taking some contraceptive pill.

Freckles are common among light-skinned people and those with red or light hair. It is caused by genetics and sun exposure and tends to darken during summer or when you have too much sun exposure.

Age spots are also caused by sun exposure, and they appear as brown, black or gray spots found on our skin.

Causes of Skin Discoloration

Skin Discoloration Ogden UT is usually caused by the overproduction of melanin. Some medications can cause skin darkening that includes chemotherapy drugs which can have skin discoloration as a side effect.

Pregnancy hormone levels can affect melanin production in women. That is the reason why we see darkened necks, armpits, and thigh inserts in pregnant women that may naturally go away after giving birth.

There is a rare endocrine disease known as Addison’s disease that can result in skin discoloration in areas that are exposed to the sun that includes the face, hands, neck, elbows, and knees.

Too much exposure to the sun can also cause skin discoloration as the body produces more melanin for protection.

Here in Utah, we are exposed to the sun all the time. Preventing skin discoloration is possible by using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. You can also wear hats and clothes that block sunlight. The best protection is avoiding sun exposure especially during the hottest part of the day, which is around 10 am to 4 pm.

If you notice skin discoloration you can avoid certain medications like the birth control pill, for example, and see whether your skin goes back to normal.

Skin discoloration isn’t harmful in most cases and may fade on their own with proper sun protection.

In some cases, treatment is necessary to deal with the problem. But there is no guarantee that the spots will fade completely even after aggressive treatments.

Skin Discoloration Ogden UT

Treatment For Skin Discoloration

Today’s skin clinics offer numerous treatments for Skin Discoloration Ogden UT. One of the more popular is IPL therapy.

IPL therapy is a treatment using fractional lasers which stimulate collagen growth in your dermis. After multiple sessions, flat spots may disappear including spider veins, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. The treatment works with people with fair skin.

Microdermabrasion is another option for skin discoloration treatment. Skin experts use a drill-like tool with a wire or abrasive attachment. This tool is placed across your skin to remove the epidermis or outer layer of your skin. Multiple sessions may prove helpful in treating skin discoloration.

If you are fair-skinned and dealing with superficial scars, microdermabrasion may be the ideal treatment for you.

Laser peeling uses targeted beams of light to reduce skin darkening. Ablative lasers are aggressive, and they involve removing layers of your skin. The heavy-duty lasers may be more effective but may cause more side effects.

For some people, an IPL or non-ablative treatment may cause the skin to darken instead of lightning.

Your dermatologist will know what the best treatment is for your skin tone and type.

Skin tone plays a vital role in the intensity and duration of skin discoloration treatments. People with fair to medium complexion may need lesser treatments compared to those with darker skin.

Fair skin usually responds well to various skin discoloration treatments.

No matter what type of treatment you opt for, don’t forget to protect your skin from further damage from sun exposure.

Wearing sunscreen every day is a must in Utah, even when it’s cloudy and you are out skiing on the slopes.

5 Reasons to Get a Laser Tattoo Removal Service

There are times in our life when we make hasty decisions and don’t realize the consequences. Getting a tattoo is one of those decisions, and it’s a good thing to know that we have a laser tattoo removal service available today. Tattoos are meant to be permanent, and as we go on through life, we realize that having one is not a good idea.

Tattoos can affect your personal life and career because they are often associated with people who have gone to jail. Although society is now more open to tattoos as a means of self-expression, there are still white-collar jobs that you won’t get because you have visible tattoos on your body.

tattoo removal service - timelessmedspa

Advantages of Laser Tattoo Removal Service

If you come to the point where you want to remove the permanent ink in your body, you don’t have to worry. Laser tattoo removal service can help you remove your tattoo and clear your skin. The technology available today is leaps and bounds ahead of what we had in the past. Here are the advantages of having your tattoo removed through lasers.

Convenience

Laser tattoo removal is a convenient way to have your past erased as you move forward. The treatment uses a high-powered laser that penetrates the skin and forces the pigment particles to vibrate. The heat generated from the laser light causes the particles to break into smaller pieces so they can be flushed out through our lymphatic system.

The action is quick and precise as light energy combined with a specialized lens converts energy into pressure for indelible ink removal. For smaller tattoos, treatment can be done in as little as 10 minutes. For bigger and multi-colored ink, you can be in and out of the clinic after an hour or more. The results are not immediate as your tattoo should fade after each treatment.

No Scarring

The laser used in tattoo removal is designed to leave your healthy skin cells alone. This lowers the possibility of scarring compared to other abrasive methods like ‘sanding’ the skin. Laser technology sends intense energy below your skin without harming the surface area. It treats the source of the problem without affecting the surrounding areas.

Treatments are spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart to allow your body to process and flush out the ink particles.

Safety

What’s good about laser technology is that it taps your body’s resources to help with tattoo removal. The energy waves that break down the ink also causes your body to respond by healing itself. The response includes more collagen and elastin production and ink removal through the lymphatic system.

Laser tattoo removal is one of the safest procedures you can get. The risk of infection is low, and only a few undesirable side effects are known to occur after treatment.

Minimal Recovery

Laser technology in the past was slower in reaching the intended target. This resulted in burning and skin irritation, which left painful sores on your skin. The good news is that today’s modern lasers are quick and powerful, making the procedure less painful than before. You will still feel a little discomfort, but it is bearable compared to having a tattoo. You can ask your clinic for topical numbing agents if your pain tolerance is low.

After your laser treatment, you need to avoid your skin from UV rays for a few days. A minimal amount of redness and tenderness may occur, but these effects will wear out in a few days. There is no downtime after treatment, as you can continue with your daily routine.

Specific or Entire Tattoo Removal

With laser tattoo removal, you can remove a particular tattoo or have all of your tattoos erased. Your tattoo removal expert can let you know how many visits it will take before your tattoo starts to fade. This means less treatments for small tattoos and more for larger ones.

Old lasers had difficulty in removing specific ink colors like blue, green, and bright colors. The latest lasers can break up these inks just like thick and stubborn black lines.

Wearing a tattoo carries a negative stigma in the workplace. If you want to retain some tattoos, you can have your visible tattoos removed and keep the ones that can’t be noticed while you are at work.

Timeless Medical Spa: For the Latest Laser Tattoo Removal Service with PicoSure

Getting a tattoo is an expensive and painful procedure. You should think twice before getting one because the ink is permanent. If you want to have the indelible ink removed, you can use our laser tattoo removal service at Timeless Medical Spa.

CO2 Skin Resurfacing is 20% off this September

Laser season is upon us once more, and what better way to start the season than by having a CO2 Skin Resurfacing Treatment from Timeless Medical Spa at 20% off.

Many cosmetic surgeons recommend laser resurfacing treatments during the fall or winter months because daytime is shorter, and people spend more time indoors.

Laser treated skin is hypersensitive to sun exposure for up to a year after the procedure, so limiting time in the sun and plenty of Elta or Image sunscreen is important.

Laser skin resurfacing includes a variety of medical aesthetic procedures that use lasers to treat skin imperfections. You can choose between aggressive ablative treatment or non-ablative treatments.

What is CO2RE Skin Resurfacing?

CO2 Skin Resurfacing is an aggressive laser resurfacing treatment that can address your skin issues in a single treatment.

Our CO2RE is a versatile fractional CO2 system that features the latest in skin resurfacing technology. It targets and effectively treats your skin’s surface, middle, and deep dermal levels.

This treatment is ideal for fine lines, sun damage, wrinkles, acne scarring, skin tags, and benign lesions.

Expect a downtime of about 1 to 2 weeks after the procedure.

Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment Depends on Your Choice Professional

Don’t make the mistake of choosing a laser resurfacing provider solely on cheap rates or branded laser platforms.

In the hands of poorly trained technicians, lasers can be ineffective or even dangerous. You should choose a provider based on experience, training, and qualification. At TimeLess Medical Spa, you are in safe hands.

Our team has highly trained and knowledgeable professionals who can dramatically improve your skin’s appearance.

Drop by our clinic or set an appointment now to take advantage of our September promo featuring a 20% discount on our CO2RE Skin Resurfacing Treatment.

We offer a free consultation with our Master Aesthetician to decide which treatment would be best for you.

DON’T MISS THIS OFFER!

Call to schedule an appointment now! (801) 475-4300

What are the Best Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatments?

Did you know that autumn is often referred to as “laser season” in the esthetics world?

During the fall and winter, TimeLess Medical Spa estheticians like to recommend more aggressive treatments, like laser skin resurfacing. Laser procedures are the best option for treating fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and enhancing skin tone and texture. Laser-treated skin is hypersensitive to sun exposure, which is why its best to do these procedures during the months you are less likely to be in the sun. (Of course, no matter what time of year you schedule your treatments, you should always wear a daily moisturizer of SPF 30 or higher.)

What is Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Laser skin resurfacing describes a variety of medical esthetic procedures that utilize highly concentrated beams of light energy to treat skin imperfections. There are two types of laser treatments to consider: ablative and non-ablative.

Ablative lasers remove outer layers of aged, sun-damaged skin. The intense heat from the laser causes just the right amount of controlled damage to the targeted area. This stimulates collagen production. As it heals, smoother and tighter skin forms. Due to the aggressive nature of ablative treatments, it will take at least 2-4 weeks for skin to fully heal.

Non-ablative lasers do not break the skin’s surface. Instead, these laser treatments work by delivering heat deep into the dermis to promote collagen production. These procedures work gradually but have virtually no down-time. While a single ablative treatment may take care of your skin concerns, non-ablative laser procedures require a series to produce the desired results.

What are the Best Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatments?

There are a variety of ablative and non-ablative treatment options. We want to highlight a few of our favorites for you.

CO2RE

If you are looking for a treatment option to aggressively address your skin in one treatment, CO2 is the right one. Typically, a once a year treatment, CO2 skin resurfacing is designed to precisely target and effectively treat the skin’s surface, middle and deep dermal levels.

CO2RE is a versatile fractional CO2 system, and the latest in skin resurfacing technology. The laser incorporates an innovative scanning technology for skin resurfacing through fractional ablation. The CO2RE procedure is ideal for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, acne scarring, benign lesions, and skin tags. It is the most aggressive treatment, with downtime of about 1-2 weeks.

HOLLYWOOD LASER FACIAL

This new laser treatment is just what you need for glowing, celebrity-like skin. Address pigmentation, fine lines, and texture issues with our new Hollywood Laser Facial.

A charcoal mask is spread over the skin and then lasered off for a deep exfoliation, resurfacing and to target pigment. Following treatment, it will feel a bit like you’ve had a bad sunburn. Downtime is about 3-5 days. When it’s healed, your skin will look absolutely glowing.

PicoSure FOCUS Skin Revitalization

PicoSure provides a quick and easy non-ablative laser skin treatment that gently delivers short bursts of energy to targeted problem areas. This breakthrough technology removes unwanted pigment and treats wrinkles and acne scars.

Unlike other, more painful procedures, this gentler treatment provides impressive results without the associated discomfort and downtime of traditional lasers.

Schedule a free consultation with a TimeLess Medical Spa Master Esthetician in Ogden, Utah to learn more about laser skin resurfacing and which treatment would be best for you.

How to Treat Maskne

The year 2020 hasn’t necessarily been kind to us, and even our skin is suffering.

In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, our best defense is to wear a protective mask in public places when social distancing isn’t an option. For some that might mean only wearing a mask for essential outings, like a trip to the store, but for most people it means wearing a mask for prolonged periods of time at work. While wearing masks is the safest way to slow the spread of Covid-19, its not doing your skin any favors.

The result? Irritated skin and clogged pores along your jawline, cheeks and nose. This mask acne is now popularly referred to as “maskne.”

What causes Maskne?

Medically, this type of skin issue is called acne mechanica and is caused by repeated pressure, friction, rubbing, squeezing or stretching.

Trapped dirt, sweat, makeup and other pore-clogging particles under a mask with no ventilation creates the perfect breeding ground for acne. Add to that your own moist breath, creating humidity beneath the mask, and you’ve got a recipe to develop even more bacteria.

Is Maskne treatable?

The good news is, by upping your skin care game, you can totally treat this!

Seeing a certified Master Esthetician is the perfect place to start. At TimeLess Medical Spa in Ogden, Utah you can schedule a free skin consultation for a detailed and individualized skin care regimen.

How to treat Maskne

Typically, TimeLess Master Estheticians will recommend a combination of monthly professional treatments and an at-home skin care routine.

Professional treatments for treating acne include cleansing facials, exfoliating chemical peels, and microdermabrasions.

Your at-home regimen is going to become more important than ever to get maskne under control.

You’ll want a gentle cleanser. Your skin is already irritated, so you don’t want to make it worse with intense scrubbing. Image SkinCare’s Ormedic Balancing Cleanser has nourishing complex with organic aloe vera and botanical extracts to soothe skin.

Follow cleansing with a balancing serum that will help reduce sebum production and pore size. Image SkinCare’s Clear Cell line is designed for treating acne and the Restoring Serum contains a vitamin B6 derivative to control sebum production and minimize pore size, while botanicals help reduce the appearance of inflammation.

Do not be afraid of moisturizer. It’s all about picking the right one. To treat maskne, you need a moisturizer that controls oil production, protects your skin and reduces irritation. Image SkinCare’s Clear Cell Mattifying Moisturizer delivers moisture where skin needs it and absorbs surface oils in shiny areas, leaving skin with a healthy and protected matte finish.

A few nights a week, treat your skin to a much nicer mask. After cleansing, spread on a purifying mask to detox your skin and remove impurities. Choose a mask with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Image Skincare’s I MASK Purifying Probiotic Mask has purifying green clay and charcoal to detoxify and clear away impurities, leaving the skin clean and refreshed.

If you’re facing maskne, do not be discouraged. You do not have to compromise your safety to have glowing skin. Keep wearing your mask, and put these skin care tips to use. See a Master Esthetician to discuss your individual skin needs and come up with a regimen that fits you.

Care for your skin and stay healthy!

Signs You Need Professional Facial Services in Ogden, UT

Our weather in Utah can take its toll on your skin. The changing climate can result in skin issues that require you to avail of facial services in Ogden, UT.

First impressions matter, especially if you deal with people in your line of work every day.

This makes sustaining facial health essential,

Not all skin problems can be solved by a DIY manuka honey face mask.

Home remedies may solve some skin issues, but there are times when you should leave the work to the pros.

You may think that there’s no solution to your problem, but the good news is that there are outstanding facial clinics that offer the best facial services you can imagine.

Professional facials are not a one size fits all solution. Look for a spa and medical clinic that can cater to your skin type and give the proper treatments. A skin analysis before treatment is a good option.

If you are experiencing the following issues we share below, it’s time to book that appointment for facial services in Ogden, UT.

Puffiness

You wake up every day and experience puffiness that stays all day. It’s time for that relaxing facial that you have postponed for the longest time.

Facials can provide you with a healthy complexion and get rid of that puffy face in the morning. You’ll be surprised to wake up rejuvenated and ready to face a brand new day.

Breakouts

Pimples all over the face are a woman’s number one enemy. Don’t make the mistake of taking matters into your own hands.

Popping pimples can only make things worse. You can end up with deep scars that you may carry for life.

Pimples and blackheads show up due to oil and dead skin build-up that is blocking your pores.

Scrubbing and washing your face daily won’t improve your condition in this situation.

Breakouts happen, and there are ways for proper extraction. Trust the facial experts to deal with your problem and make product recommendations for clearer skin.

If left untreated, some breakouts may lead to permanent skin conditions.

Reward yourself with facial services in Ogden, UT, and deal with the breakout problem that keeps pestering you.

Facials can help unclog your pores and remove the dust and grime build up in your skin.

Dark Circles Around The Eyes

Are you having difficulty sleeping? You could wake up with dark circles around your eyes in the morning.

Dark circles are often temporary, and they are typical signs of aging or lack of sleep. They can make you look older and are quite hard to remove.

Makeup can conceal them but not cure them completely. Concealers can cover dark areas and make them blend with your skin color. Take note that some products can make your situation worse.

When your cucumber eye patch or cold compress doesn’t work, it’s time for you to get facial services in Ogden, UT.

A good facial can brighten the appearance around your eyes.

If lack of sleep is the cause of dark circles, you need to catch up on sleep to prevent them from coming back.

Give yourself 7 to 8 hours of sleep to help reduce the appearance of dark circles around your eyes.Dull and Flaky Skin

If you notice dull and lifeless skin, it’s a sign that you lack hydration. Make sure you drink plenty of water to bring back that youthful glow.

Dull skin can also be caused by pollution, stress, extreme heat, and dead skin cells.

A revitalizing facial that can deeply hydrate your skin is worth the trip to your favorite spa.

Facials are invigorating, and they can bring your skin back to its radiant beauty. To combat dull skin, book an appointment for facial services in Ogden, UT.

After the winter season, many Utah residents still have flaky and itching skin. A facial treatment can moisturize your skin and get rid of the flakes.

Dead Skin

In some instances, applying moisturizer doesn’t seem effective anymore. This indicates that your skin is not absorbing properly.

Another sign you need a facial is having patchy makeup, which doesn’t blend into your skin no matter how hard you try.

Our skin needs regular exfoliation to get rid of dead skin cell build-up.

Facials can clean and exfoliate your skin for better skin absorption. Facial services in Ogden, UT, should be done monthly if you want to achieve long term results.

You can time your facials with the change in seasons if you can’t afford the monthly trips to the clinic.

Quarterly visits to the spa and medical clinic is a more realistic routine for budget-conscious individuals.

Things You Need To Know Before Getting a Botox Procedure

Every woman reaches a certain age that they dread looking in the mirror. One begins to notice faint lines of crow’s feet and wrinkles starting to appear.

The good news is that there are many options for you and one of them is Botox.

Some women may shrug their shoulders and say it’s a part of the aging process; others may console themselves by thinking that wrinkles, just like grey hair, show character.

But for the majority of you who are bothered by looking old, we take a look at a procedure that can turn back the clock and bring back the glory days.

How Does Botox Get Rid of Wrinkles?

Not everyone is familiar with how botox works.

Botox is the brand name of a highly poisonous substance that affects your nervous system. The botulinum toxin is a chemical that blocks the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which causes muscle paralysis that lasts for a few months.

This is why wrinkles seem to disappear or minimized. A shot in small doses reduces the crinkling and wrinkling that happens naturally when we make certain facial expressions.

The treatment can also prevent further creasing in some people, which is why it has become a popular treatment in America today.

Is Botox Safe?

A highly poisonous substance that is injected in your face? That can freak out many people, but the trick is administering the chemical in minimal amounts.

This is why Botox is now being administered to thousands of faces all over the country.

Researchers have found that botox is relatively safer compared to other, more invasive cosmetic procedures.

Like any other treatment, there are risks involved, especially if an inexperienced dermatologist does the injection.

In this case, you wouldn’t want to be the guinea pig and experience the horror stories that some botox patients have to go through.

You should choose a board-certified dermatologist for your peace of mind when you decide to have a botox.

Choosing the Right Clinic

Botox is one of the top nonsurgical cosmetic procedure in America. Clinics that offer the treatment have sprouted like mushrooms, and you have to choose the right one.

Narrow down your search for board-certified plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Keep this in mind as you ask Siri or Google on the best botox clinic near you.

You want your face placed in the capable hands of highly trained professionals in facial anatomy.

Be wary of clinics with non-physician injectors that have undergone a weekend training course to administer botox.

The website of your potential clinic is a good place to check on the credentials and before and after results of botox patients.

Read online reviews to check on what patients say and if they are happy with the results.

Once you have picked your clinic, you can now schedule a consultation to see if you are comfortable with your doctor and if your budget fits the procedure.

A competent physician listens to your concerns and helps you achieve your goals.

Make a Plan for Your Botox Treatment

Once you have chosen your clinic, come up with a Botox plan with your dermatologist. Every face is unique, which means that there is no one size fits all botox plan for an individual.

It is not ideal to have the same botox plan as your mom or best friend. You may have different facial conditions, goals, and expectations.

Your physician should educate you about what you can expect from your botox treatment. Once you share your expectations, your physician should consider your age and look at the depth of your wrinkles.

A good evaluation of your facial muscle movement can determine if Botox is a good option or not.

Botox is a good option for the treatment of fine wrinkles and not for deeper set lines.

Some patients visit clinics regularly for different treatments, your dermatologist may recommend a treatment that is not related to botox, but it can help you achieve your goals.

Budget Considerations

Your botox plan would greatly depend on your budget for the procedure. Take note that botox is temporary, usually lasting from 4 to 6 months.

If you are satisfied with the results, you can continue with several treatments within the year.

Botox fees can range from $100 to $400 for single area treatment. The question is, can you afford to pay for continuous treatment?

Treatment can include more than one injection depending on your facial muscles. Numerous injections can make your bills pile up in an instant.

Upkeep may require from 2 to 6 sessions per year.

Right Age for Botox

Not everyone ages the same way. Fine lines may appear earlier for some, and botox can help with the issue.

Some patients think that botox can be used for the prevention of wrinkles. Women in their twenties are considering jumping on the botox bandwagon to fight wrinkles before they even appear.

Brows and mouth angles are favorite spots for preventive Botox treatment.

Botox is FDA-approved for patients 18 years and above. There seems to be a trend where patients are getting younger.

Social media plays a big part in this as we see people taking selfies all the time.

You may benefit from getting preventive botox treatment as early as 25 years old.

The 4 Best Sun Care Products

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month and today is #NationalSunScreenDay! So, we thought we’d share with you what we believe are the BEST sun care products available.

Before we tell you our favorites, we’ll tell you how to pick a winner. When looking for a good sunscreen you want to pay attention to a few details:

SPF

The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends a minimum of SPF 15 for everyday use, and SPF 30 for extended outdoor activity. It’s important to reapply every 2 hours.

Broad Spectrum

This label indicates that the sunscreen protects against UVA and UVB rays.

Water Resistance

You can get a sunburn even while you are in the water, so look for a sunscreen that is labeled water resistant. Pay attention to how much time it is resistant and reapply often.

Seek the Seal

Look for the The Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. This will ensure that you are protecting your skin properly.

In our 11 years of experience in the business, we have tried a lot of sun care products. While there are many good ones out there, we have a few favorites.

Natural Skin Care Tips To Keep Your Face Glowing after Your Profound Non-Surgical Facelift

After getting a Profound Non-Surgical Facelift, we share some natural skincare tips to help maintain your newly treated skin.

Women encounter this dilemma all the time, a late-night leading to dark circles around the eyes in the morning. Flawless skin seems to be the holy grail that everyone is looking for but to no avail.

You have been a loyal follower of the CTM technique. You have tried all the cleansers, toners, and moisturizers that have hit the market. Add to that every new face wash, anti-aging cream, and sunscreen.

You have experienced dry skin, dead skin, patchy skin, and oily skin.

The quest for flawless, blemish and acne-free skin has always been a dream for you.

The quest is now over, Profound Non-surgical Facelift combined with natural skincare tips for your face can help you get that glow you have always wanted.

Always Remove Makeup Before Retiring To Bed

Don’t forget to always remove your makeup before going to sleep. Our skin needs to breathe overnight, and makeup clogs your pores. This causes skin blemishes and blackheads.

If you don’t have a makeup remover, you can use olive oil placed on a cotton ball and gently press it into your face to remove makeup and dirt.

Exfoliate once or twice a week to remove layers of dead skin on your face. This will leave your face brighter and with a healthy glow.

You can apply yogurt mixed with a paste of walnut in powder form to exfoliate your skin. Antioxidants in the walnut help remove dirt and promote glowing skin.

Protect Your Skin From The Sun

You need to apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 that blocks UVA and UVB rays. Too much sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots, and other skin problems.

Protection from too much sun exposure is essential. Read labels and make sure the sunblock is ‘nonacnegenic’ so that it won’t block pores.

Don’t skip putting on sunscreen even on cloudy or cold days. Harmful rays don’t stop causing harm even when cloudy. They are not felt but are still causing damage even by reflection.

We all think that the sun’s rays are only harmful when it’s hot, but the truth is these rays are not hot at all.

Choose Healthy Food

Watch your diet by keeping track of what you put on your plate. Eat fresh fruits, veggies, proteins, and vitamins. Megadoses of Vitamin C plus a low fat and sugar diet promotes radiant skin.

You also get the benefit of having insulin levels down, which keeps cells balanced and healthy.

Try to limit or avoid spicy and fermented food, salt, fried, and citrus fruits. Eat more oats, rice, and applesauce.

Exercise For Healthy Skin

Training regularly for proper circulation. Running, jogging, and biking can help boost metabolism and the cleansing process of your entire body.

A glow will appear on your face after your workout. Walking is considered good exercise.

You don’t have to skip skincare before and after you exercise. Apply a toner to limit oil production before your workout. Exfoliate after then apply olive oil or shea butter to moisturize your skin.

Get Your Beauty Rest

Try your best to sleep a minimum of 8 hours a day. If you lack sleep, your skin gets tired, and it sags. You can apply honey on your face twice or thrice a week to heal your skin.

Wash and moisturize your face before retiring to bed. Use mild cleansers that don’t contain alcohol for dry skin. Apply moisturizer and avoid hot water as it makes your skin dry.

Try to retire early and not stay up too late.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Hydration is essential to healthy glowing skin. Drink tons of water daily. Eight glasses or more in a day is ideal. Eat more fruits and veggies that have high water content like cucumber, watermelon, orange, strawberry, grapefruit, and cantaloupe.

Rosewater helps prevent and lower eye puffiness in the morning. It maintains the pH balance and hydrates your skin naturally.
